Challenge: The client was moving into a new 66,000 sq/ft warehouse and needed a wireless solution for their RF guns they use to control the product in their warehouse. They needed to be able to have good connectivity through out the warehouse as well as connectivity back to their headquarters in Waltham, MA.
Solution: We chose to use a Cisco Wireless LAN Controller as well as Cisco 1242 access points to provide the wireless for the warehouse. they offer the coverage needed as well as the ability to roam around the warehouse seamlessly. A VPN between the remote warehouse and the main site in MA was created to provide connectivity to the application the RF guns need to function properly.
