"The quick transition meant much less interruption for our employees but more importantly for our customers. Customers nowadays have so little free time, and we need to give them immediate answers to their questions. We hate to tell the customers our computers are down because it makes us look unprofessional - and it's one more risk that you could lose that customer to the competition."

IT RELOCATION

Category: Onsite Support

Client: James Devaney Fuel (JDF), Boston's no. 1 oil company

Challenge: JDF was consolidating its two offices into a new main office and needed help relocating the technology infrastructure. Uptime was critical, as JDF depends on its computers for business operations.

Solution: We designed a plan to bring the new location online one week before the move. This allowed us to set up the office, connect it with the two existing locations, and ensure a fully operational office from Day One. On moving day, we were present at all three locations to guarantee the IT infrastructure was properly shut down, moved and brought back online. The result: a smooth transition with only a few minutes downtime.
