MS EXCHANGE SERVER 2007 SETUP

Client: American Antiquarian Society (AAS), a learned society and national research library of pre-20th century American history and culture

Challenge: As part of a Microsoft Exchange Server migration, this project required removing the obsolete server from the network, installing a new server, and migrating the mailboxes and public folders.

Solution: One of the key considerations in this project was to minimize business disruption. Accordingly, we did the following:

Performed all work on the new server - including configuration - at our office rather than onsite
Ensured the server was up and running shortly after delivery to the client
Migrated the mailboxes and public folders overnight

As for the old server, we reconfigured it to handle file storage and printing.
