Category: MS EXCHANGE SERVER 2007 SETUP
Client: American Antiquarian Society (AAS), a learned society and national research library of pre-20th century American history and culture
Challenge: As part of a Microsoft Exchange Server migration, this project required removing the obsolete server from the network, installing a new server, and migrating the mailboxes and public folders.
Solution: One of the key considerations in this project was to minimize business disruption. Accordingly, we did the following:
- Performed all work on the new server - including configuration - at our office rather than onsite
- Ensured the server was up and running shortly after delivery to the client
- Migrated the mailboxes and public folders overnight
As for the old server, we reconfigured it to handle file storage and printing.
